Gloucester Garage Sees the Light!

SWS UK's distributor Roller Doors Ltd were approached by a client located in Gloucester who was looking for a new garage door. It was essential that the door added a high level of security to their newly built home extension.
After an initial brief from the client it became apparent that their main requirements were for the door to have a vertical lift design (as the driveway is not the longest in the world), provide insulation (a bedroom and bathroom are over the garage) and allow light to enter into the garage (to allow the space to remain usable without having to put a light on).

Based on these requirements, Roller Doors Ltd were able to offer the client a choice of an insulated sectional door or an insulated roller garage door from within SWS UK's SeceuroGlide range.

After an explanation of the benefits of each model, the difference in operation and the variation in price the client felt the best choice for them was to go for the ever popular SeceuroGlide Classic and have it fitted with 4  rows of glazed vision slats (towards the top of the curtain) allowing light to enter into the garage. The preferred colour choice was RAL 6009 (Fir Green).

Looking through the list of options and accessories, the client also specified bi-directional remote controls as these allow the user to check if the door is closed by pressing the button on the handset (a great feature and very convenient for homeowners who are unable to see the garage from inside the house).
As the client was based in Gloucester, Lancashire based Roller Doors Ltd enlisted the help of Duratec Security Solutions to carry out the installation as they provide a nationwide fitting service.

Once the site survey had taken place they provided final dimensions, position of vision slats etc and an installation date was booked in. SWS UK delivered the door directly to site ready for installation over the weekend.

On the morning of installation the fitters arrived and with no existing door to remove Duratec had the Seceuroglide roller door up and running in a couple of hours. Upon completion, a full demonstration of the product took place with the client to ensure they fully understood how to operate it.
