SeceuroGlide Excel Meets Security Needs for House in Kensington

Project Overview

Located in Kensington, central London the owner of this home was carrying out large scale refurbishments to a mews style property and as such were looking to install a new garage door to protect their car without compromising on the aesthetic appeal of the building.

Client Brief

After an initial conversation with their client it became apparent that they had several key requirements. These included:

• Thermal performance benefits (as the house was integral to the garage).
• Provide a high level of security to protect a sports car.
• Automatic operation so they can operate the door without getting out of their vehicle.
• The ability for the door to be fitted between the opening, to accommodate the original fan light windows which were in situ above the existing opening.
• A high level of strength, durability and reliability.

Solution

Having listened to their client requirements, SWS UK distributor Roller Doors Ltd were able to offer numerous options however after a clear explanation of the benefits and drawbacks of each design a decision was taken that a roller door was probably going to be the best all round solution.
After careful consideration the customer agreed the best choice was the SeceuroGlide Excel roller garage door, with the main deciding factors being cited as the insurance approved security rating, the remote-control operation, the between the reveal installation and the benefit of foam filled lath to provide thermal insulation.

Feedback
